Five Wishes

News Article

“Everyone knows deep down inside if you knew you would die unsatisfied and if you didn’t commit yourself body and soul to the quest then you will never be awakened with that burst of energy of being alive!”

Five Wishes is a book authored by Dr. Gay Hendricks. It’s a simple and interesting book about how answering one simple question can make your dreams come true. Sounds far-fetched?

Well the book starts with one important question: First imagine you’re on your deathbed, tonight or fifty years from now. Then imagining Dr. Hendricks looking you right in the eyes and asks you ‘Was your life a complete success?’

You might say, ‘Yes, my life has been a complete success,’ (then you’re lucky) or you might say, ‘No, my life has not been a complete success.’ So here’s how you change it to make it successful.

When Dr. Gay Hendricks was asked this question more than 20 years ago, his mind went tilt! What a question!

He answer was: My life was not a total success because I never enjoyed a long and happy marriage with a woman I adored and who adored me. I wish I’d enjoyed a lifelong blossoming of passion and creativity with a woman.

Okay, now turn the wish into a goal and put it in the present tense as if it’s happening at this moment, which would sound something like this:

My life is a total success because I’m enjoying a long and happy marriage with a woman I adore and who adores me. I’m enjoyed a lifelong blossoming of passion and creativity with her.

Ask yourself if that what you really want, willing to commit yourself to, body and soul?

If you have answered yes, then this is the book that would give you pointers on how to achieve what you want and need in your life. The author also relates stories from people that have done the five wishes with him through the years and their success stories.

Of course when you read on, you have no idea that you could accomplish even your first wish. But everyone knows deep down inside if you knew you would die unsatisfied and if you didn’t commit yourself body and soul to the quest then you will never be awakened with that burst of energy of being alive!

Five wishes go on to enlighten readers about the other four wishes and how those can also be achieved as well although the duration will depend on what you wish for. The bigger the question, the more important it is to answer it right now. This moment is all the time you need. It’s the only one we have.
