Christmas is in the air

News Article

It is that time of the year again where we all look forward to a wonderful holiday season like Christmas. Christmas is celebrated all around the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ who was born on December 25th.

Christmas Tree

During this period, lots of people will be busy buying gifts and decorating their homes.  It is a busy time to send out Christmas cards early. Your recipients will appreciate your thoughtful gesture and remember that it is time to send theirs too. This will also give you a hint if you need to buy more cards and will help you to beat the Christmas rush.

The Christmas tree is also a central part of  the celebrations and it takes lots of time to find the perfect deco to ensure your tree looks beautiful. Some people go by different themes every year to make the celebration more interesting. You can choose to buy the decorations from the wide range sold in shopping malls or just do-it-yourself.

If you are one of those people who believe that Christmas is just like any ordinary celebration or are probably strapped on a budget, here are some cheap ways to celebrate Christmas. After all, it is the thought that counts.

The number one rule is to shop any time of the year as Malaysia is a country that is blessed with sales throughout the year, so take advantage! Making a gift list is another sure way to celebrate Christmas with a budget. Just like Santa, give your presents to those who will be there to receive them. If they are missing in action, well it’s their loss.

Go D-I-Y as it’s cheaper. For those who are tech savvy, send an E-card. Not only is it   faster but free.

Christmas Turkey

If you’re tired of the way your Christmas tree looks every year,  call a few friends over, have a swap of decorations and ornaments. That way, you can revamp your tree without going over budget.

Some people even reuse past year’s presents. Maybe you received a present last year that you didn’t quite like and have never used; say for example that brown mug or pink top. All you have to do is re wrap it and there you go, a present to give away without spending a dime but not really in the true spirit of giving!

All in all, preparing for Christmas should not be a tiresome and frantic process as it is suppose to be a season of joy and celebration. If preparing for it takes more effort and energy than you can imagine, it would be good to enlist the help of family and friends as they will be there to support you. After all, Christmas comes only once a year so it’s okay to go a little more extravagant than we usually are.
