Orientation to Welcome Students

img_4746UCSI University organized an orientation ceremony to welcome new students on 29th and 30th December. The new students attended seminars and were given an introduction about the University and courses they would take. This is to help them have a clear picture on life as a university student and everything else that goes with it.

UCSI Student council team took the lead in the orientation events with the help from a few senior students from different courses to guide their juniors.

“The main purpose of the event is to create interaction between the different batches of students” explained img_4723volunteer facilitator Bayode Samuel from the School of Engineering.

“I really enjoyed the orientation; it helped me get to know new students in the University regardless of age, race or courses,” said newcomer Louise Tan.

The group activity such as ‘Ice Breaking’, ‘Mind Swapper’ also gave her a new understanding of University life. She also said that, “the facilitators were very helpful during the two days; they were very friendly and always ready to guide.”
