Sony Ericsson Zylo

News Article

Zylo by Sony Ericsson looks much like its slider ancestors, proudly boasting and reinstating the glamorous era of Walkman music. Measuring at 103 x 52 x 12mm and weighing at only 115 g, its compact build allows the Zylo to fit snugly in your hands. Now does that sound good to you?

The display despite being a standard QVGA resolution, is quite adequate for a phone of mid range pricing. It also comes with an anti scratch surface and an auto rotate feature which flips the screen from portrait to landscape view, depending on the user’s whims.

Phone's Stylish Design

The main issue however resolves around the audio performance, since Zylo is supposed to glorify walkman phones. The audio quality is quite good as it supports various audio formats besides HD FLAC audio format, which is a very high quality loss audio codec (every single bit of data that was originally in the file remains after the file is uncompressed) . But if you truly want the best for your precious ears, then you might want to consider getting a third party ear phone as the one provided in this box is quite lackadaisical to really satisfy the music lover in you.

The Zylo also boost features such as the TrackID function which allow users to recognize music in mere seconds and the SenseMe features which plays music according to your mood. Zylo also comes with geotagging support that works through network cell triangulation to determine your location, as compensation to the lack of GPS.

On top of all that, this old school phone can also keep you socially updated to sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even Blogger if you are the type that loves to browse and surf constantly. Zylo is surely a phone for the music and crowd loving people!

As for the compulsive media hoarders, there is definitely tons of space for you to hoard in with this phone. With an internal memory capacity of 260MB which can even be expanded with Micro 5D memory cards and be upgraded to a 16 GB if you wish.

This stylish phone comes in three different colors such as Chacha Silver, Swing Pink and Jazz Black. With a phone that sounds, look and feels stylish, who knows I might get one myself.
